Small uprising occurred in the city of Tierra Colorado, Mexico. About 1,500 residents took up arms to overthrow the local government and Police officers that were there. Citizens were forced to fight as long as it is pressed by corrupt officials. Officials in the city were in league with armed gangs to commit criminal acts.
"We took control of the city as far as the criminals get immunity from the law," said a spokesman for the residents, Bruno Placido Valerio, as quoted by the Guardian, Thursday (28/03/2013).
"We now hold the city security officers, he is responsible for the crime that has been happening," he continued. Anger of the peaks as their leader was killed by an unknown group last Monday, March 25. Besides hold city officials, residents also arrested 12 police in the city.
So far, the Mexican government is troubled by the rampant crimes committed by armed gangs. The gang was getting funds from smuggling narcotics into the United States.
