Moro Islamic Liberation Front (The Moro Islamic Liberation Front / MILF) has urged the government of President Aquino Beningno to advance the peace process between the two sides. MILF warns violence could re-rupture in Mindanao if the peace treaty has not been signed before 2016.

"Actually, if we can not resolve these negotiations with a success in the administration of President Benigno Aquino III, then we do not know what the challenges to be faced in 2016," the MILF statement, as quoted by AFP on Thursday (03/28/2013) .

"What happened today, could be a new cause of action violence and fighting in Mindanao," continued the statement. Formerly special adviser to President Aquino announced the peace process, President Aquino asked for peace negotiations dijadwalan at 25 to March 27 next originally postponed until next month. Both sides eventually agreed to resume negotiations on the second week of April.
